Responsibilities
- Plans and supervises the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Produces financial reports and records for shareholders, management, and other statutory or regulatory organisations
- Reviews bookkeeping and accounting records, prepares tax returns, provides tax advice, and challenges contested claims in the presence of tax authorities
- Analyses financial data to support management decision-making
- Collaborates with management and other professionals to prepare budgets and estimate costs
- Produces periodic financial statements, budget analyses, and forecasts
- Carries out analyses and provides management with advice on financial aspects related to productivity, inventory management, sales, and new product development
