BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a Supply Planner for a permanent, full‑time position based at our Crumlin site. Join our team: advancing health, together.
The Role
The Supply Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, optimising inventory levels, and coordinating with various teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. This role will require strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the company’s overall revenue plan by developing and maintaining production plans and levelled schedules identifying constraints & opportunities on a cyclic basis.
- Supporting the monthly Master Production Scheduling (MPS) process for all business areas.
- Converting system generated suggestions into works orders for release to production.
- Raising works orders for Make to Order (MTO) products, in response to newly received customer orders.
- Schedule and maintain works order start and end dates, resource, capacity, and load data within the system to meet changing customer requirements.
- Process expedite, de‑expedite and cancellation suggestions within Sage x3, as required.
- Day to day interface for supply planning, to manage change and balance supply and demand.
- Regular KPI and metric reporting, identifying supply risk areas with input into company’s SIOP process.
- Maintenance and regular review of planning Master Data including but not limited to product lead times, planning horizons, safety stocks, routings and work centres.
- Daily interface with Procurement team for impact analysis on upcoming notified supplier delivery failures / delays.
- Feed supply constraints direct into SIOP process for inclusion in monthly SIOP reviews, where customer impact exists and support is required for mitigation of risk.
- Feed supply failures directly into Customer Planning team, to ensure customer orders are risked for wider business visibility.
- Support daily MRP processing, placing new purchase requests from system‑generated purchase suggestions, and flag expedite requests to Procurement as necessary to protect the production plans.
- Co‑ordinate discussions with production teams regarding management of manufacturing over yields and decisions around supply coverage and inventory impact.
- Co‑ordinate with site Stores / Warehousing teams to provide weekly schedules for picking of components for manufacturing works orders.
Qualifications
- Formal manufacturing planning training/ qualifications preferable.
- Good general level of education with GCSE passes in English & maths.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired.
