BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin.

The role will provide project management co-ordination, support and leadership for Recombinant R&D projects; both internal projects across BBI sites and externally run projects. These projects will support BBI’s recombinant strategic transformation. The role sits within the Product & Portfolio Management function and will report into the Technical Programme Manager. The role will also report regularly to the Recombinant Project Steering Committee to provide essential updates and escalations to ensure the success of BBI’s strategic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Define and manage detailed project plans, identify dependencies, and establish an achievable timeline and risk mitigation strategy. Ensure external 3rd parties are aligned with timelines and escalate, when necessary, any slippage of timelines.
  • Project Documentation: Initiate and maintain all project documentation including project design plan, design inputs/design outputs, design history file, risk management, and detailed project timeline. Ensure external party has all the relevant documentation in place and when required. Manage phase gate approvals both internally and externally and ensure documentation is approved on BBI QMS.
  • Project Leadership: Drive projects and all project team members to ensure project objectives and timelines are met, in accordance with plan, costs and required quality structure, providing support where required. Escalate issues when required.
  • Compliance: Ensure project compliance to BBI’s EHS, QMS and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Planning: Coordinate cross-functional team, ensure availability of required resources and skills throughout the project to deliver the project as planned. Closely cooperate with the respective functional leaders.
  • Project Outsourcing Focus: Ensure external parties are aligned with project and regulatory compliance requirements (ISO:13485). Ensure all relevant legal documentation (contracts, agreements, NDAs) are in place as required to support project deliverable. Support discussions and negotiations with external 3rd parties, ensuring external parties are approved suppliers and CAPEX approved to commence work.
  • Communication: Excellent communication between external and internal stakeholders is required. Weekly updates on project status with internal cross-site stakeholders is expected. Organise meetings for team updates for both external and internal stakeholders. Ensure minutes and actions are captured and shared with the relevant teams in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Adjust priorities quickly when adapting to business demands. Share information with stakeholders efficiently to allow quick decision making.
  • Project Governance: Support in the governance framework and documentation overview to the Business. Provide regular project status updates against project specifications (time, costs, quality) to line management and the wider Projects team while maintaining project milestone status within reporting tools.

You should apply if you have:

  • Prince 2, PMP or equivalent Degree qualification.
  • Proven experience of planning and delivering R&D projects from defining project objectives, creating detailed roadmaps and establishing timelines accepted and understood by key stakeholders.
  • Experience in a Scientific, BioTech and/or Medical Device environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality management systems, ISO13485 & 9001 within a regulated environment.
