Role Overview
The role of the Procurement Professional is to perform activities to enable the business to realise its commitments to customers. You must be a skilled relationship manager, and able to demonstrate experience of procuring raw materials and ‘buy for resale items’ to support manufacturing demand.
Role Requirements
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- You will be fully responsible for managing purchase price variation, OTIF delivery performance and risk mitigation for the spend portfolio, developing action plans that drive improvement and business profitability, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, every time.
- To work in collaboration contract service leader supporting new product/project development initiatives, identifying new sources of supply opportunities, and supporting actions to validate these new sources of supply.
- Your role is that of an enabler, supporting risk mitigation and change of control processes to support launching new products to market.
- To attend the monthly procurement team review reporting summary of portfolio progress against PPV and Supplier OTIF driven actions and initiatives.
- Lead supplier quarterly business reviews, build supplier relationships, driving improvements, and ensuring products are procured at the most economically advantageous cost.
- Working with supply chain to ensure compliance management of import/export regulation requirements and accountabilities.
- Occasional travel to the German office.
- Raise and process purchase orders for ‘buy for resale’ antibodies.
- To follow all company policies and procedures and work in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Continuously strive to develop depth of knowledge and expand existing skills.
- To conduct any other duties within different specialisms, as requested by your manager.
