We have an opportunity to join our amazing team of staff at Lansdown Park Academy. Lansdown Park Academy is a Pupil Referral Unit / Early Intervention Base in South Bristol. We work with pupils whose primary need is often SEMH, supporting and guiding them with their next steps in education.
We are keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about supporting and making a difference to the lives of young people, both within and beyond the classroom. You will receive full ongoing training in this role and will be joining a friendly and supportive team with the benefit of also working term time only.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join us. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. While TA experience and qualification is beneficial, we also believe that the right personal qualities are more important. We will invest in the successful candidate and ensure that they receive the training and opportunities required for the role.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist in the educational, personal and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo, phase leaders, and class teachers). You will support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning, and achieve their full potential. You will take responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate, and deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. You will work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfill the requirements of the role.
