We are seeking to appoint qualified (English/Maths/Science) teachers for Secondary academies in the Cabot Learning Federation, starting in September 2025. Positions may be available in several academies across all CLF clusters.

The Cabot Learning Federation is a vibrant, diverse and successful trust in which to start or progress your teaching career. Each of our academies provides its own support for new staff and Early Career Teachers have a dedicated Mentor supporting them in continuing to develop their teaching and an Induction Lead who oversees the two years of statutory induction. You will be part of the Five Counties ECT CPD programme and will meet other ECTs working in the region at regular conferences and webinars. Additionally, within the trust, you will be joining a supportive team of over 120 secondary subject specialist teachers who work as a strong subject community and meet regularly as a network, led by subject experts.

If you share our ambition for ‘Equity through Education’ and have a passion for teaching (English/Maths/Science), we would be delighted to receive your application. If you join us as an ECT, you can be sure that our early career teacher networks and support will help to give you a successful start in your teaching and leadership career. When you are ready to progress in your career we will support your development into leadership.

The CLF has a number of (English/maths/science) teacher positions to fill across the trust within our secondary academies. If you are successful following the application and interview process, a conversation will follow and you will either be appointed directly to an academy or appointed centrally to then be deployed to an academy once further teacher needs are known for September 2025. We will invite applicants to express preferences for academies or locations during the recruitment process.

Your opportunity: We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for early career teachers. Training is both local in academies and delivered through the CLF Institute and the Five Counties Teaching School Hubs Alliance. For teachers, the CLF Institute provides a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for early career teachers (ECT), experienced teachers and into successive stages of leadership through to Headship.

What we are looking for: We look for passionate individuals who want to be a part of transforming education and who will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and their Academy. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to motivate students, collaborate effectively with colleagues and embrace continuous improvement. Through your training with the SCITT, you will be developing your ability to deliver high quality, inclusive lessons and will have experience in delivering the curriculum in your subject. You will be a well-qualified subject specialist with a relevant undergraduate degree, on track to be an engaged and inspiring teacher, with consistently high expectations of students’ work and behaviour. We look for professionals who share our values and aspire to make a positive impact for all students and those who experience disadvantage.

How to Apply: Candidates should apply by setting up a new CLF recruitment account through the 'Login / Register' tab at the top of the advert page. There is a capped limit for the word count available in each section of the application form - please refer to the word count text information highlighted at the beginning of every section in the application form and use Microsoft Word to check the word count is within the limit before completing each section. You will need to complete every section on each page of the application form before being able to move on to the next page. For any support needed with your application, please email and our HR Systems team will be able to guide you through completing this.

Task: As part of your application, we would like applicants to write a short piece of writing (max 500 words) focused on 'what the CLF HEART values mean to you, working in a CLF secondary setting'. This should be uploaded as an additional document within the 'Supporting Documents' section of the application form.

Cabot Learning Federation Benefits: As part of the Cabot Learning Federation, we can offer you a range of benefits, including:

  • Access to our pension scheme – Teacher Pension Scheme (if eligible)
  • Dedicated Training and Development programme
  • Health and wellness sessions and discounts
  • Flu Jabs
  • Annual CLF conferences which provides CPD opportunity
  • Comprehensive Induction process
  • Competitive salaries which are reviewed annually
