Burnham Beeches Hotel is a 4-star Georgian Hotel hidden amongst 10 acres of beautiful gardens in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The hotel boasts 82 bedrooms, a leisure club, extensive conference and banqueting facilities and a restaurant. The hotel is busy throughout the year, with a focus on hosting both leisure and corporate guests for a variety of events.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a vital part of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, ensuring food quality, and maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food delivery.
  • Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
  • Lead by example in food presentation, cooking techniques, and customer service practices.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment at all times.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
