We are currently recruiting a NPD Manager to be based at our Hull bakery on a full-time, permanent basis.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated individual with a creative flair and passion for NPD and bakery. You will be a team player with superb communication skills, which will enable you to be the first point of contact for our key customer and internal teams. A self-starter, you will show energy and enthusiasm for the products in which you work, and you will thrive under pressure. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience within a food manufacturing business, preferably a bakery or equivalent knowledge/experience. A food science-related qualification is preferred.
The role of a NPD Manager at BBF Limited
The role purpose covers concept work in the test bakery through to full scale factory scale up of projects across all of BBF sites, leading to a successful launch instore. Responsible for the correctly sourcing new raw materials, creating recipes coordinating factory trials with operations, process, and site technical teams at relevant sites. Responsible for the development of commercially viable new products via specific retailer. To successfully deliver all projects in-line with the critical path, ensuring full and timely communication and collaboration with all areas of the business and the customer. To ensure all projects adhere to the PLM process ensuring any product introduced to the sites are controlled and documented. Drawing on their past experience of the NPD process the individual will be able manage a project from start to finish to a gold standard. Manage Stakeholders - Ensure great communication between key departments. Line management, with a minimum of one direct report. First point of contact for our customers, sole responsibility for day-to-day customer communications for a key strategic customer/s. As the key contact, travel to BBF sites or our customers head office is essential. You will conduct submissions at customers and host customer visit at site.
