We are recruiting a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our site‑based engineering team in Hull. You will ensure smooth operation of our production lines, performing fault finding, preventative maintenance, and proactive downtime prevention on conveyors, sealers, weighers, metal detectors, depositors, mixers and cutters.
Responsibilities
- Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise reliability and performance.
- Carry out fault finding, problem‑solving and establish route‑cause fixes for equipment issues.
- Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team to keep them informed of engineering activities and schedules.
- Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production uptime according to priorities.
- Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure safe work.
- Record any stock removed from engineering stores for accurate stock control.
- Complete necessary documentation to keep audit‑ready records.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote health & safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Electrical and mechanical engineering skills are essential.
- Experience servicing conveyors, sealers, weighers, metal detectors, depositors, mixers and cutters is highly advantageous, but expertise in all areas is not required.
