Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a plastic processing, recycling and manufacturing company based in Sheffield, S9, for a Manufacturing Operative to operate the 3 plastic extrusion lines onsite.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion lines to ensure efficient production and quality output.
- Assist with basic setup and changeovers of extrusion equipment as required.
- Perform routine quality checks and record production data.
- Report any faults or deviations to supervision and assist with basic maintenance and housekeeping to keep the lines running.
- Comply with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating extrusion machinery or general plastic manufacturing machines (injection mould, blow mould, rubber mould, etc.) is advantageous.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour shift pattern (6-6) on a 4 on, 4 off cycle, including days and nights.
- Flexibility to work 45% of the year as required.
- Good attendance and reliability.

Location: Sheffield, S9
Shifts: 12-hour shifts on a 4 on / 4 off cycle, days and nights (6:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00).

Salary: £25,823 + overtime
