LOCATION: London Television Centre - Hybrid (approximately 2 days per week in the office)

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,500 - £35,000 plus London Weighting, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As Digital Content Protection Executive, you will help protect BBC Studios content and brands across YouTube, TikTok, Meta and other digital platforms. Working within the Content & Brand Protection team, you will use rights-management and fingerprinting tools to identify, track, block or monetise unauthorised uploads, resolve rights issues and support effective content protection. Training will be provided, making this a strong opportunity to build specialist experience in digital rights and platform operations.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM

Join a small, collaborative team protecting some of BBC Studios' best-known global brands, including Bluey, BBC Earth and Doctor Who. You'll gain hands‑on experience across content protection, rights management, digital platforms and data, working with teams across Production, Distribution, Sales, Licensing and Digital. The role offers training on specialist systems and the chance to build transferable skills in a fast‑evolving area, including emerging challenges around AI and digital content.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Spreadsheet literacy, including confidence using Excel and working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with the backend of social media and content‑sharing platforms such as YouTube, TikTok or Meta.
  • Experience interpreting rights, contractual or content‑related documentation accurately.
  • Experience learning and applying new digital rights‑management, content‑management or platform administration tools.
  • Experience analysing and presenting data clearly, highlighting relevant trends or issues

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Some knowledge of copyright, fair dealing/fair use or digital rights, and how these principles can apply to social media platforms.
  • Experience with YouTube Content ID, Rightsline or similar rights‑management tools; training will be provided and prior platform‑specific experience is not essential.
  • Paralegal experience
