BBC Studios is looking for an experienced and highly creative North West based Series Producer to join the Children in Need team from early September – November 13th. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong editorial leader with a proven track record of delivering ambitious, audience-engaging content across multiple genres, including comedy, celebrity challenges, films and music performances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and oversee standout content and editorial ideas across the campaign.
  • Lead location shoots and studio recordings from development through to delivery.
  • Manage and support a team of Producers, Assistant Producers and Researchers.
  • Build strong relationships with high-profile talent, contributors and stakeholders.
  • Write and edit scripts to ensure the highest editorial standards.
  • Oversee the production and staging of complex music performances.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver content successfully.

About You

  • Significant experience producing large-scale entertainment, live or fundraising content.
  • A strong track record of delivering ambitious, multi-genre productions.
  • Experience managing production teams and high-profile talent.
  • Excellent scriptwriting and script-editing skills.
  • Previous work with young people and children is desirable, but not essential.
  • A good working knowledge of BBC editorial policy and guidelines.
  • Experience overseeing complex music performances and studio production.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interest in the latest pop culture and trends.
