BBC Studios’ Morning Live is looking for Studio Day Team Runners to join our welcoming and collaborative team behind one of the UK’s daily live shows. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in live television, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. We are particularly keen to hear from those who are currently underrepresented in the media industry.

Location: Manchester (we ask that applicants are within a reasonable commuting distance).

Contract Dates: 24 August to 26 December, with the possibility of an extension until the end of March. You will typically work from the Morning Live office and studio at least three times a week, with some early starts depending on the needs of the programme. We recognise that flexibility looks different for everyone and are happy to have conversations about individual circumstances where possible.

You’ll work closely with Producers, Assistant Producers and Researchers, helping to ensure the team is organised, prepared and ready to deliver a live programme. You will also support the Production Management team with programme needs, contributing to a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day‑to‑day support to the Editorial and Production Management teams
  • Assisting with guest arrivals and ensuring everyone has a positive and inclusive experience
  • Supporting Researchers and Producers with administrative and editorial tasks
  • Preparing paperwork and briefing materials for the programme
  • Helping coordinate props, demonstrations, contributors and guests
  • Assisting with studio and office logistics throughout the day
  • Supporting clear and effective communication between editorial, production and studio teams

Previous experience in a studio, production office or editorial environment would be an advantage, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important. We are committed to making our recruitment process as accessible as possible and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage.

Application Deadline: Sunday 28 June at midday
