Overview
BBC Studios is seeking an experienced Director for a new series investigating environmental waste.
We’re looking for a talented shooting director with excellent technical skills, particularly using Sony FS6 cameras for the dates 7 Oct – 3 Nov.
You’ll be confident filming in fast-moving and potentially hostile environments, working with on-screen talent, and capturing both observational documentary and actuality, as well as visually strong set-up sequences.
Responsibilities
- Shoot high-quality footage in fast-moving and potentially challenging environments.
- Work with on-screen talent and contributors to capture observational documentary and actuality footage, as well as visually strong set-up sequences.
- Operate and manage camera equipment to deliver broadcast-ready material.
- Collaborate with production team to ensure creative and logistical objectives are met within schedule.
Qualifications / Key Skills & Experience
- Experienced shooting director with strong broadcast camera skills (Sony FX6).
- Proven track record filming in challenging environments.
- Experience directing and filming with talent and contributors.
- Strong observational documentary and actuality filming skills.
- Experience of covert filming is highly desirable.
