BBC Studios’ Morning Live is looking for an Office Runner to join our friendly and collaborative team. This is an exciting entry‑level opportunity for someone who is proactive, organised, and eager to gain hands‑on experience in a busy production environment. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences, and we’re particularly keen to hear from those who are currently underrepresented in the media industry.

Location: Manchester (we ask that applicants are within a reasonable commuting distance).

Contract Dates: 24 August to 26 December, with the possibility of an extension until the end of March.

You will be based in the office each day, supporting the running of the studio and Morning Live office, and working closely with Production Assistants and the wider editorial team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of production while helping to create a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment. No two days are the same, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, uses their initiative, and is always willing to lend a hand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office
  • Greeting visitors and helping to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Managing deliveries, post, and office supplies
  • Setting up meeting rooms and assisting with team events
  • Providing administrative support across different departments
  • Keeping communal areas organised and accessible
  • Running errands and assisting with ad hoc studio tasks as required
  • Supporting Production and Management teams with operational needs

You may be required to do early studio starts or support the Production rota. Previous experience in a studio, production office or customer‑facing role would be an advantage, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important. We are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments to support you through the recruitment process and in the role.

Application Deadline: Sunday 28 June at midday.
