We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Production Assistant to support the busy Morning Live team. This is a key role within the production office, helping Senior Management and Production Management keep the programme running smoothly both on and off screen. You will be based in the office most days supporting the day to day running of the Studio and Morning Live Office and working closely with Production Assistant and our wider Editorial team.
Location: Manchester (Please only apply if you are within a commutable distance)
Contract Dates: 24th August to 26th December (potential of an extension until the end of March 2027)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diaries, meetings and communications for Senior Management.
- Coordinate team meetings, planning sessions and production events.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding, including IT kit, access, passes and inductions.
- Liaise with Workplace, IT, Studio Operations and Building Management teams.
- Manage stationery, office supplies and First Aid kit records.
- Submit and track IT requests, access permissions and equipment.
- Support Production Management with administration, POs, expenses and internal documentation.
What We're Looking For
- A highly organised, proactive and approachable team player.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, solving problems quickly and supporting a Senior Management team.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Teams skills.
- Experience in television production, live broadcast or studio environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of BBC systems such as MyBusiness and Concur, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
This role requires an office presence of 3–4 days per week.
