WE’RE HIRING: PRODUCER – POINTS OF VIEW (BBC ONE) Glasgow | 12-week contract
BBC Studios’ Entertainment Productions are looking for a Glasgow-based Producer to join the iconic Points of View team and help shape the next block of episodes. If you’re someone who loves TV and thrives in a fast‑paced environment, this could be the role for you.
The Role
- Ability to lead, motivate and support a team (AP, Researcher & Junior Researcher)
- Oversee the collection of all audience comments and UGC clips
- Oversee assembly and rough cut of programme edit – selecting programme clips under Fair Dealing
- Oversee Due Diligence of contributors – referring to SP when appropriate
- Forward plan for future programmes – including future series, special episodes, key dates etc
- Highly developed planning and organising skills. Ability to manage several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
- Sound editorial judgement and a thorough knowledge of editorial and legal guidelines.
- Manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with confidence.
We're Looking For
- Proven experience on fast turnaround programmes at Producer level
- Strong editorial judgement & organisational skills
- A collaborative, proactive leadership style
- (Bonus) Edit producing experience but not essential
Location & Contract
Location: BBC Scotland, Pacific Quay (Hybrid). Contract: 31 August – 20 November (12 weeks).
