PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Join the Brands & Licensing Finance team as a Finance Business Partner, supporting the fast‑growing Digital and Brands businesses.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in delivering financial control, reporting, forecasting and strategic analysis across a diverse portfolio, including Social Video, Top Gear Publishing, Marketing and emerging business areas.

Through insightful financial support and commercial partnership, you'll help drive informed decision‑making and business growth.

You'll take ownership of a broad range of finance activities, work closely with senior stakeholders, and contribute to both operational excellence and strategic decision‑making.

  • Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
  • Lead and support month‑end, year‑end and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across the Digital and Brands businesses.
  • Prepare and manage P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts, budgets and Long‑Range Plans, supporting Group forecasting and planning cycles.
  • Partner with business leaders and budget holders to provide financial insights, performance analysis and support for growth initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, financial models and ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision‑making and investment opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced finance service providers, ensuring high‑quality delivery, resolving issues and embedding efficient processes and controls.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment through balance sheet reconciliations, reporting compliance and continuous process improvements.
  • Provide clear commentary and analysis on business performance, highlighting risks, opportunities and key drivers to support decision‑making.
  • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), part‑qualified, newly qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, management reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and awareness of financial controls and governance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Track record of identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies through new ways of working.
  • Desired But Not Required
  • Experience within the media, entertainment or creative industries.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Experience working with outsourced finance service providers or shared service models.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, long‑range planning and commercial business case development.
