BBC One's flagship rural affairs series Countryfile is seeking an experienced Producer with strong journalistic instincts and a high level of creative ambition. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help drive the editorial and creative vision of this year‐round factual programme. Working closely with the Series Editor and Series Producer, you will have an influential role in creating one of BBC Studios' most successful and trusted brands. The role requires strong leadership skills, editorial confidence, and the ability to deliver original, engaging content.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate production teams across multiple stories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key national organisations and influencers shaping the rural agenda.
- Use your editorial judgement and industry contacts to generate exclusive, agenda‐setting stories.
- Deliver compelling, accurate, and impartial content that reflects the BBC's values.
Are You the Right Candidate?
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of producing high‐quality factual television.
- The ability to engage with and bring fresh perspectives to rural Britain.
- The ability to lead teams and develop ambitious, creative ideas in a demanding editorial environment.
- Sound editorial judgement and a thorough knowledge of broadcast editorial and legal guidelines.
- Experience managing and motivating teams, including performance and talent development.

Base: Bristol, minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
