Countryfile, BBC One’s flagship factual series and the UK’s most-watched factual programme, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Camera Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile production that celebrates the British countryside and rural life. We’re seeking a technically skilled, proactive individual who thrives in the field and is passionate about storytelling through visuals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate second camera to support the Producer/Director on location shoots.
  • Fly drones for aerial footage and create accurate flight plans.
  • Maintain and prepare a wide range of cameras and technical equipment.
  • Rig and de-rig equipment on location.
  • Log rushes and coordinate media transfer to post-production.
  • Support production office tasks including stock prep, kit inventory, and paperwork distribution.

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold a full, clean UK driver’s licence.
  • Have a solid understanding of filming techniques and self-shooting.
  • Be confident working on location and setting up shoots.
  • Possess strong teamwork, organisation, and scheduling skills.
  • Stay calm under pressure and bring a positive, can-do attitude.

Logging of rushes and coordinating their transfer to the post house.

Base: Bristol, minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Dates: Mid-August 2026 – 18th of December 2026
