BBC Nations produces content putting audiences across the whole country at the heart of everything it does. The division is responsible for producing an extremely broad range of output across News, Sport, Audio and TV content from the devolved Nations and English regions of the UK.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Take a leading role in updating and reporting audience performance across the breadth of content produced by the Nations division each week.
- Support editorial stakeholders across video and sport to understand the performance and audience opportunities for their output, through a mix of regular reporting and periodic audience deep‑dives.
- Provide support on research projects using different methodologies (e.g. surveys, focus groups) to help shape output across platforms for the benefit of UK audiences.
- Help develop and mentor colleagues across all business areas on new tools and initiatives developed by the Nations Audiences team.
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across a range of areas including commissioning, marketing and central network audiences teams.
- Analysing digital performance data and collaborating with data analysts to own and develop dashboards and tools.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to extract key conclusions from diverse datasets.
- Some experience of supporting qualitative and quantitative market research projects such as surveys and focus groups.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to turn data into engaging reports, articles and presentations, and deliver to stakeholders with different levels of data literacy.
- An aptitude for time management, with the ability to respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A clear interest in the UK media & TV market, wider audience trends, and the context in which the BBC operates.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of audience measurement and working with media industry data such as digital/social media analytics, radio industry (RAJAR) data, and/or TV industry (Barb) data.
- Passion for turning complex data into compelling stories for colleagues at all levels.
- An interest specifically in new & evolving digital video trends and products.
- Interest in, and good understanding of, domestic sport across the UK.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE
£25,700 – £30,900 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
