Purpose of the Role
Support the Script and Story Research team by reviewing, researching, and ensuring authenticity, consistency and credibility in EastEnders storylines.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Review storylines and character developments for authenticity, consistency, and credibility.
- Conduct detailed research, identify potential issues, and provide balanced findings and practical recommendations.
- Ensure factual accuracy and continuity across scripts, highlight inconsistencies, and resolve research‑related queries.
- Build relationships with subject matter experts, organise research meetings, and produce clear reports and story documentation.
- Collaborate across production teams and provide administrative support as required.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience handling research materials in a TV, journalistic or academic environment.
- Passion for TV drama, especially EastEnders.
- Strong written communication skills, creativity, and ability to work under pressure in a team.
- Professional and organised approach, including handling sensitive information and maintaining administrative systems with Microsoft Office.
- Prioritisation, problem‑solving and forward‑planning skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
