The Digital Media Platforms and Planning team are looking for an experienced Senior Content Producer to run the BBC Children's website platforms. We are looking for someone truly passionate about curating and creating exciting digital content online for kids aged 2-12. Someone who understands what kids are talking about, what they love and what will engage them. Someone editorially experienced in running digital platforms, data driven, well-organised and highly motivated.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the team, motivating and supporting them in delivering maximum impact and value to our audience via the Children's website platform.
- Ensuring that the editorial vision is communicated and understood and that all content, and promotional activity is working towards our strategy and achieving our targets.
- Being data driven, using analytical reports, SEO and audience insights to inform editorial decisions.
- Working closely with Product colleagues to achieve our shared objectives.
- Establish and maintain successful processes and workflows.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across Digital, Commissioning, Product and external partners, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration.
- Management of audience engagement via the website including comments, user-generated content, and running competitions via our BBC Children's compliance processes and guidelines.
- Accountability for the editorial compliance of content and copyright reporting and to ensure BBC standards and guidelines are met.
- Keeping across the latest Kids trends, insights and industry developments in digital games, websites and platforms that kids are using.

You will have strong editorial and strategic skills experienced in managing digital content/platforms for younger audiences. You'll know what will appeal to kids and how we can use the platform to maximum benefit. You'll have proven experience of using online analytics and real time data tools to inform effective decision making and to drive results. You'll also have excellent planning and organisational skills, an eye for detail and high-quality content and copyrighting standards. You'll be committed to creating a fun and professional environment, ideal for staff to work at their best, and to develop and thrive at work. You will feel comfortable conveying your ideas to a wide range of people across different levels across the business. You'll be able to build productive relationships and communicate successfully with digital teams, stakeholders, departments across the BBC and external partners.
