WHY JOIN THE TEAM?

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Account Manager, Out of Home (OOH) to support the growth and distribution of BBC Studios branded Services and BBC News across the international Out of Home market. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Sales & Business Development, this role will be responsible for managing key client relationships, driving revenue growth, identifying new distribution opportunities, and supporting the negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding BBC Studios’ presence across hotels, hospitality groups, maritime operators, airports, rail operators and other commercial venues. The position combines strategic account management with business development and requires strong relationship-building, commercial negotiation, analytical and project management skills.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Account Management, Commercial Growth & Operations: Maximise revenue and profitability across BBC News and BBC Studios branded services within the international Out of Home (OOH) market. Support the delivery of the OOH distribution strategy, identifying and securing new business opportunities to expand market presence. Manage and develop relationships with key affiliates, hotel groups, maritime clients and other distribution partners. Negotiate, execute and renew licensing and distribution agreements, while driving client retention and account growth. Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring successful onboarding, implementation and ongoing account management. Collaborate with regional sales teams and legal stakeholders to manage contracts, amendments, renewals and commercial negotiations.
  • Market Intelligence & Business Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across the global OOH sector. Provide market, financial and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making and partnership development. Act as an internal OOH subject matter expert, sharing market insights and recommendations with key stakeholders. Partner with Finance and Billing teams to ensure accurate invoicing, revenue recognition and contract administration. Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, reporting and business planning activities, monitoring account performance against commercial targets. Oversee Salesforce record management and support sales administration, reporting and billing processes to maintain operational efficiency.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience in account management, affiliate sales, or content distribution, ideally within the media, broadcasting or entertainment industry.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing large client portfolios and distribution partnerships.
  • Analytical, financial modelling and forecasting capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, organised and comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with office suite in particular excel.

DESIRED NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in a matrix organisation with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the airline, cruise and/or hospitality passenger/customer journey.
  • Familiarity with rights management or technical distribution.
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly European languages.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
