PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Operations Team Leader will divide time between being operational as a Production Specialist (PS) and line managing in the department for Media Operations London. They will work a pattern fitting with the PS team to cover day‑to‑day demands, forward‑planning known events, and line‑managing other members of the team. The role involves maintaining and developing relationships with many stakeholders in the BBC. They will be the main point of contact for the PSs and work with other areas in Media Operations to prioritise effective and efficient content delivery. The position will enable personal development as well as enhancing the capability of the team.

BBC Media Operations is at the heart of delivering content across all our platforms for all audiences. The team manages the craft and production operations for BBC’s news, radio and sport services across London, Salford and Birmingham with teams in the UK. The team captures, edits and produces output 24/7 for TV, radio and digital platforms.
