PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £26,000 - £30,000 + £5,441 London Weighting (pro rata for the 8-month fixed-term contract), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Media Coordinator to support our day-to-day content operations activity. You'll coordinate asset deliveries, manage workflow processes, oversee platform onboarding activities and support content distribution across a range of global services and clients. Acting as a key point of contact for operational projects, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional service standards.
The ideal candidate will combine strong attention to detail with excellent coordination skills, a customer-focused mindset and a genuine interest in media distribution and digital content workflows.

This is an exciting opportunity to join BBC Studios' Global Content Operations team and play a key role in bringing world-class content to audiences across multiple international platforms.
Working at the heart of our media supply chain, you'll support the delivery and distribution of content across FAST channels, VOD services, streaming platforms and broadcast partners. You'll collaborate with colleagues across Global Sales, Media Technology, Operations and external vendors, helping ensure content reaches audiences efficiently and accurately.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of media operations activities, from asset delivery and workflow management through to metadata, localisation and platform onboarding. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on existing media operations experience within a fast‑paced, international environment.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Coordinate asset sourcing, ingest and delivery across branded content projects and regional FAST channel operations.
- Create material orders to support global content sales and distribution activity.
- Support the onboarding of clients, service providers and third-party vendors onto operational platforms.
- Manage and monitor delivery workflows, helping ensure content reaches clients on time and to specification.
- Coordinate ad hoc content deliveries and localisation requirements across internal and external partners.
- Track operational performance, delivery activity and key workflow metrics, providing reporting and updates where required.
- Maintain content inventories and support the efficient reuse and management of localised assets.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Technology and external service providers, proactively resolving issues and communicating progress.
- Contribute ideas and insights that support the ongoing development of operational processes and strategy.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working within a media supply chain, media operations or content delivery environment.
- Understanding of post-production workflows and content delivery processes.
- Experience working with digital media formats and content assets.
- Knowledge of content distribution platforms and services, including FAST, VOD, OTT and linear streaming environments.
- Familiarity with media file formats, compression and delivery specifications.
- Experience using Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
- Experience working within cloud-based media environments.
- Understanding of technical and descriptive metadata.
- Experience supporting international content distribution operations.
- Knowledge of content localisation workflows and vendor management.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
