LOCATION: London – Television Centre

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £36,200 plus £5,441 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a QA Digital Tester, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, accessible and high-quality digital products. Combining hands-on testing with automation engineering, you'll design and maintain automated test solutions, provide clear insight into product quality, and help embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure products are released with confidence and continue to meet the needs of users and audiences.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Design, build and maintain automated end-to-end, integration and regression tests using TypeScript and modern automation frameworks.
  • Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, providing fast, reliable feedback to support development and release decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers and designers to identify risks early and define effective testing approaches.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, reporting and quality practices while supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining automated tests for web applications.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into source control and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong understanding of functional, exploratory, regression, integration and end-to-end testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of API testing, accessibility standards, defect investigation and working within agile delivery teams.

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience with visual regression, performance, security or mobile web testing.
  • Experience validating analytics, tracking implementations or system integrations.
  • Experience testing content management systems, editorial platforms or high-traffic digital products.
  • Knowledge of Node.js tooling and TypeScript quality tools such as ESLint and Prettier.
  • ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester or a related technical qualification.
