LOCATION: Salford - Hybrid (This role requires you to be onsite at least 2 days a week at our Salford location - Quay House).
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £42,000 - £52,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join the BBC Sport Growth Team, part of our dynamic Strategies & Platforms team, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of BBC Sport's digital strategy. As a Growth Producer, you will collate and analyse audience data to shape our content strategies to reach the widest possible audience. You will be at the heart of driving digital growth, working closely with editorial, product, and marketing colleagues to unlock new opportunities and help define the next evolution of BBC Sport's digital platforms. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that puts you right at the heart of storytelling, strategy, and innovation. This position operates on a 5‐day, 8‐hour shift pattern, with occasional weekend working to support live sporting events at the moments our audiences are most engaged.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Lead and deliver impactful analytics projects, including large‐scale initiatives and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with Audience, Editorial, and Product teams to provide both tactical and strategic insights.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations using innovative storytelling and presentation techniques.
- Support Principal Analysts and mentor junior team members, contributing to a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Break down complex problems into manageable parts to deliver effective, data‐driven solutions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across BBC Sport, managing expectations of senior stakeholders when needed.
- Proactively identify opportunities to use data to inform content creation, commissioning, and curation across BBC Sport platforms.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Educated to degree level or above in STEM subject or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in online analytics tools (e.g., Chartbeat, Telescope, Piano) and an ability to translate data into editorial action.
- Ability to manage project teams and help other members prioritise work, as well as the ability to manage your own time and prioritise accordingly.
- Editorial experience and understanding of content production, formats, user needs, and newsroom workflows.
- Enjoys collaboration and working as part of a team, developing relationships and presenting results to senior stakeholders.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Experience with SEO and social media optimisation strategies.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation and growth tactics.
- Knowledge of emerging digital trends and platforms.
- Experience in training or mentoring colleagues on digital best practices.
- Understanding of BBC editorial values and compliance.
