PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join the business team at the core of world-beating BBC Studios Productions, which enables the delivery of our critically acclaimed content producers’ genre-defining shows to audiences worldwide. As Business Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the operational performance of the Leadership team, facilitating delivery of Studios’ strategic priorities across the breadth of its enviable portfolio of content and expertise.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Work effectively with Production central functions and other key stakeholders across the BBC to ensure that the business is effectively supported, and administrative support services are delivered efficiently.
- Support the implementation of strategic priorities and operational projects, providing and collating information as required. Help cascade information to ensure effective communication flow.
- Participate in projects/working groups and initiatives to offer general administration support, providing information, identifying tasks and monitoring delivery as required to help the group achieve project goals.
- Support the process of monitoring business and project objectives; coordinate with members of the team on plans to meet objectives; track and report progress.
- Coordinate Production’s central business calendar of key projects, activities and delivery milestones to help monitor delivery and outputs.
- Provide the management team(s) with business support service including diary assistance, coordination of meetings, manage and organise events including the booking of venues, travel and accommodation.
- Responsible for coordinating team IT requests, user administration, systems access and record keeping.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the post, including the collation and preparation of invoices, raising purchase orders, processing expenses, providing personal assistance as required.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experience of providing administration assistance in at least one organisation.
- High attention to detail and practical experience of gathering, analysing and collating complex and confidential information.
- Basic analytical skills, with experience of providing MI data reports.
- Organised, with ability to prioritise own workload effectively, to coordinate activities and conflicting demands to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
- Good communication skills both orally and in writing, and the ability to target content for the audience.
- Strong computer skills with strong experience of office software packages (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work with limited supervision, using own initiative to resolve most problems.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Media sector experience with understanding of the content production process.
- Relevant business management and/or project management qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of AI related business coordination support.
