The BBC Operations Team in Scotland keeps the business running smoothly, offering hands-on experience and a recognised qualification. You will support scheduling, client relationships, and operational planning to help programmes, content, and people run efficiently.

Your key responsibilities and impact

As a Business Administrator (BAA26) apprentice, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the operational team runs efficiently

  • Help the team maintain momentum, keep projects on track, and meet key content delivery deadlines

  • Build and maintain relationships across departments to ensure smooth information flow

  • Learn and use the systems, procedures, and core business skills required in a major global organisation

  • Identify and solve operational and administrative problems to minimise disruption

You’ll study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, spending at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with our learning provider.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:

  • Be 18 years old or over by September 2026
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start
  • Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the duration
  • Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship
  • Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same or a higher level
  • Identify as disabled under the Equality Act
