JOB BAND: D CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time DEPARTMENT: Product Analytics LOCATION: London or Salford - Hybrid PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: up to £59,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of BBC digital products through data-informed decision making.

Working closely with Product Managers, UX specialists and engineers, you'll identify the most valuable opportunities for analysis, uncover insights that influence strategy and prioritisation, and ensure product decisions are driven by evidence, audience needs and measurable outcomes.

Your work will directly impact the experiences of millions of BBC audiences.

  • YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • Partner with Product Managers, UX and Engineering teams to shape product strategy through data, insight and evidence-based decision making.
  • Identify and prioritise the highest-value analytical opportunities, focusing effort on work that delivers the greatest impact for audiences and product outcomes.
  • Deliver deep analysis, experimentation and discovery work, translating complex data into clear recommendations that influence product direction and prioritisation.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, constructively challenging assumptions and helping teams focus on the decisions that matter most.
  • Champion best practice in product analytics, supporting self-service reporting, improving measurement frameworks and enhancing analytical capability across the organisation.
  • Mentor and support fellow analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical tooling, data quality standards and performance measurement approaches.
