PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £55,600 + London Weighting (£5,441) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

  • Structure and negotiate distribution deals and agreements across the Nordic and Benelux markets, covering linear channels, VOD, streaming and emerging digital video opportunities.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing all new affiliate agreements with the most commercially advantageous deal terms for the Company.
  • Develops, evaluates and recruits potential distribution partners in line with the overall sales strategy and revenue targets.
  • Supports relevant partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising and sales promotions to achieve revenue targets and to improve audience engagement, discoverability and monetisation.
  • Manages relationship with affiliate partners – acting as the lead point of contact across renewals, performance reviews, product launches, marketing activity and issue resolution.
  • Identify and target prospect systems; developing, adding and maintaining a detailed database of distributor contacts.
  • Work with Marketing to identify marketing initiatives that address distributors' (operators') strategies/goals and for overseeing that these tasks are carried out effectively.
  • Work with Legal Department to shape commercial negotiations and assist in the drafting of commercial terms in the agreements.
  • Work with Finance Department to develop forecasts, budgets and operational aspects of Distribution Department to facilitate successful billing and collections.
  • Represent the company in distribution related trade shows and events.
  • Increase the value of the branded services with affiliates partners, based on knowledge of the affiliate, the market, the wider video landscape and partner packaging strategy.
  • To achieve pre-established sales contribution targets, to help prepare an annual forecast to maintain tight control over their budget.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations and internal stakeholders to support product launches, app / VOD integration, reporting requirements and execution readiness.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Business proficiency in Dutch or Swedish market languages.
  • Strong and detailed negotiator with outstanding business acumen; exceptional sales and influencing skills.
  • Able to structure deals that balance revenue, reach, risk and long-term partner value.
  • Thrives in creative, solution-oriented deal-making, with the ability to convert complex partner needs into commercially robust outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to platform partners and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, problem-solver, detailed reader, and creative thinker.
  • Expertise and knowledge of industry trends, the evolving TV / video landscape, and emerging platforms.
  • Ability to represent BBC persuasively and effectively in high-stakes settings.
  • Experience in an affiliate sales environment with an established relevant network.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to interpret financial models, partner proposals, market trends and commercial trade-offs.

DESIRED (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Business proficiency in an additional language Swedish or Norwegian.
  • Experience of advertising across linear and digital: AVOD, FAST or CTV, a plus.
  • Interest in AI, and its utilisation across data and emerging tools to improve partner insight, commercial analysis, workflow efficiency and deal outcomes.
  • Experience negotiating or managing digital product launches, VOD services, app integrations or platform bundling partnerships.
