Why join the team?
The BBC Local business team supports regional TV, radio and online teams across England. You will work as part of a team of business management and administration staff in the East & West Midlands Region, providing business support services and contracting resources in accordance with production and transmission requirements and objectives.
Your key responsibilities and impact
As a Business Administrator apprentice (BAA26), you will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute. You will:
- Work directly in a BBC team and gain exposure to the world’s leading public service broadcaster.
- Provide critical administrative support that keeps the team functioning.
- Keep the team on track and ensure deadlines are met, working at pace to solve problems.
- Communicate with colleagues across departments, building relationships and networks.
- Learn the systems, processes and skills that keep a major global organisation running smoothly.
You’ll study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, spending at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with our learning provider, using its virtual delivery platform.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
- Be 18 years old or over by September 2026
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start
- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the duration
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship
- Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same or higher level

- Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
