PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £50,000 - £55,000 based on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. Plus London Weighting Allowance of £5,441 The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the Role

The B2B CRM Manager role is essential in managing both the strategy and operational running of CRM for Trade Marketing & Customer Events. This entails delivering targeted email communications that build deeper relationships with our customers that maximises commercial opportunities for the business. In conjunction with our Trade Marketing & Events team, they’ll be responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing the full events & customer engagement lifecycle (including marketing automation, journeys and personalisation). You’ll need to leverage various CRM technologies like Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Sales Cloud, Dot. Digital and Validity. You’ll also have an integral role in the successful running of the wider delegate management workflow, acting as the CRM SME for Trade.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact

Campaign Delivery

  • Support the CRM Director, leading and managing relationships with senior stakeholders to deliver targeted B2B CRM campaigns.
  • Own the CRM briefing process and provide expert guidance on CRM best practice.
  • Build and deploy email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Dotdigital and event platforms.
  • Refine existing data analysis approach, capable of regular campaign reporting (using Tableau) and profiling as well as ad hoc deep-dive insight.
  • Develop customer data segmentation and profiling models that business users understand and that are scalable and actionable to improve performance and drive commercial value across B2B.
  • Take an active role in executing the agreed CRM strategy and vision.
  • The role will be our ‘go-to’ person for all things B2B CRM – our CRM ‘SME’ for Trade.
  • Lead relationships with multiple senior BBC Studios stakeholders to deliver strategic projects with their full support.
  • Leads CRM planning for key trade marketing events throughout the year.
  • Raise awareness of CRM approaches around the business and embed in marketing thinking.Working with the wider CRM team to help them develop their platforms and processes to support best practice operating frameworks.
  • Develop cost-effective systems to lower our operating costs over time. Manage spend to hit budget.
  • Supports the deployment of AI (Salesforce Einstein) to aid the operational enhancements of the CRM Team.
  • Creative thinking and awareness of competitor standards. Presenting ideas to continually innovate and adapt email design and improve customer journeys.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Inspire the team to innovate, be aware of developments in marketing, CRM and technology/digital trends, maintain links with the industry and incorporate insight into CRM activity.
  • Advise the CRM teams on the technical aspects of Salesforce Marketing Cloud & other related CRM products (e.g. Litmus), ensuring that BBC Studios makes the most of the tools we have.
  • Ensure all users of CRM systems are trained in their effective use. Collaborates closely with other CRM Managers within the team.
  • Comfortably manage creative briefs and bespoke design projects.
  • Collaborating with external agencies to deliver unique experiences in line with key business objectives.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive experience with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform or similar platforms like Dot. Digital or Braze.
  • Experience with managing and fostering relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in an email marketing role in the B2B/Events space.

Data-driven, with strong analytical capabilities.

Desired but not required:

  • Understanding of the BBC and its place in the media market.
  • Experience of delivering multi-channel marketing automations.
  • Understanding and experience of editorial compliance and Fair-Trading policies.
  • Experience of Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop editing skills
