Contract Type: 1 year Fixed‑term Contract, Full time, 5 days per week

Location: London – Television Centre. A minimum 3 days per week in the office is required depending on production commitments. There is the opportunity to work remotely.

Proposed Salary Range: £40,200‑£69,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Start Date: 7th September 2026 (depending on notice period)

Interview Schedule: Online interviews will be held the week commencing 13th July 2026 with 2nd interviews in person the week commencing 20th July.

Purpose of the Role

As a dynamic and driven visualised podcast producer with excellent connections in the entertainment and podcasting worlds, you will develop and produce new visualised podcasts for the BBC and commercial platforms as well as visualise existing audio content and produce audio‑only output as required. You will work closely with the broader BBC Studios Audio team, collaborating with Factual, Drama producers, and TV colleagues across the Comedy and Entertainment teams.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative and high‑performing audio and audio‑visual content for a range of BBC and third‑party platforms and partners.
  • Oversee studio and location recordings, managing audio and multi‑camera workflows to ensure strong sound, visual coherence and editorial integrity.
  • Lead, motivate and support a multidisciplinary production team (audio, video, digital), delivering a clear editorial vision in line with our overarching strategy and contributing to an open, creative, supportive workplace culture.
  • Understand and contribute to the creation of short‑form content from long‑form material.
  • Work closely with hosts and contributors, managing those relationships and building a durable production model to capture their best performances in both audio and video.
  • Plan and manage production workflows, schedules and budgets in collaboration with Production Management.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience producing high‑quality audio content and delivering or contributing to video or video‑podcast formats.
  • A demonstrable passion for developing and innovating compelling audio and video comedy and entertainment formats.
  • Proven experience in proactively building and maintaining effective relationships with talent, contributors and creative teams in the comedy and entertainment industry.
  • Experience overseeing multi‑camera studio or location shoots, or equivalent visual production workflows.
  • An understanding of podcast commercial frameworks, including revenue, distribution, and platform models for both audio and video.
  • An ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with others.
