This apprenticeship gives you hands‑on experience with creative teams across BBC News, CBBC, and documentary programmes.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

  • Assist with shoots, studio setups, crew bookings, and call sheets.
  • Support budget management, staff training coordination, and payroll.
  • Work on location, in studios, galleries, and across BBC offices.
  • Learn best practices in production management, health & safety, and compliance.

As part of the apprenticeship you will study for a Level 6 qualification, attending workshops, tutorials, presentations, and group work, while building a portfolio and completing an end‑point assessment.

  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years.
  • Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the apprenticeship duration.
  • Not enrolled in another apprenticeship programme during the BBC apprenticeship.
  • For candidates under 19 at the start, hold Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent, or be required to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end‑point assessment.
