We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Project Architect or Architectural Technician to join our studio team in Bath.
You will play an integral role in the development and delivery of exciting projects across the South West and beyond, taking responsibility for coordinating design information, managing packages, and working closely with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Feasibility studies and sketch proposals Preparing and submitting planning applications, pre-applications, listed building consent, and building control applications.
- Developing detailed technical design packages and construction information.
- Liaising effectively with Local Planning Authorities, statutory bodies, and external design team sub-consultants.
- Participating in all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work, ensuring design quality is balanced against budget and programme constraints.
- Assisting with contract administration and on-site construction queries (where applicable to experience).
Requirements
- Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
- Experience: Proven professional experience working within a UK architectural practice.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound, demonstrable experience navigating UK Planning Legislation (including conservation areas and historic contexts) and UK Building Regulations.
- Technical Competence: Proficiency in detailed technical design and UK construction detailing.
- Strong CAD software skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to team working and client engagement.
