This is a full-time, on-site Kitchen Assistant role based at B&B HOTELS UK in Colnbrook. The Kitchen Assistant will support daily kitchen operations, including basic food preparation such as washing, chopping, and assembling ingredients, and assisting with cooking under the guidance of the kitchen team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in food preparation and service areas
  • Following hygiene and safety procedures
  • Ensuring equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly
  • Helping to set up and replenish breakfast or other food service areas
  • Clearing tables, managing dishwashing, and disposing of waste in line with hotel policies
  • Occasionally interacting with guests to provide a friendly, helpful service and support a positive dining experience

Qualifications:

  • Strong food preparation skills, including basic cooking and support for food & beverage service
  • Good understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards
  • Ability to deliver helpful, courteous customer service when interacting with guests and team members
  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering kitchen is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work on a rota, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic spoken English skills sufficient for safe kitchen communication and guest interaction
