About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on a flagship £17 million care home development. This is a high-profile project that will deliver state-of-the-art facilities and a lasting legacy for the local community. You will oversee all commercial aspects of the project, working closely with the project manager, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of the £17m care home project from inception to completion. * Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cashflow forecasts. * Procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring best value. * Negotiation and management of contracts. * Monitoring variations, valuations, and final accounts. * Providing accurate and timely financial reports to senior management. * Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements. * Supporting risk management and value engineering exercises. About You * Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects, ideally within healthcare, care homes, or residential developments. * Strong understanding of JCT contracts and cost management processes. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (RICS accreditation desirable).
