We are expanding our team and are currently looking for a Lead Technical Asset Manager who will be a key member of the Technical Asset Management Team.
What you will do
- You will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of Technical Asset Managers (TAM) and Regional Site Managers (RSM) to meet the contractual deadlines and the demands of an allocated group of wind farms.
- You will take ownership for your allocated group of wind farms and ensure successful delivery of the contracted scope of services.
- You will be responsible for setting out and reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, on set wind KPI's to monitor the department performance.
- You will be the escalation point of contact for clients on issues in the projects with responsibility for organising regular update calls and producing monthly reports.
- You will be required to participate in the adoption and integration of new projects into operations.
- You will support identification, selection and management of local companies to undertake works alongside the Senior Operations Manager.
- You will be responsible for ensuring works are organised to maximise performance and safe operation of the plant.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are carried out under the approved UK HSE system and/or in compliance with other industry rules and regulations including WTSR and CDM Regulations.
- You will lead on contractual/commercial matters with O+M providers (including verification of availability reports).
- You will be required to assist with regulatory issues on behalf of the client, e.g. communication with local authorities.
- You will be required to participate in and verify routine HSQE and technical audits of wind sites assets and operations.
- You will be responsible for ensuring team members tasks are planned efficiently and cost effective.
What you'll need to succeed
- Background in Engineering or relevant discipline and proven track record in Project Management.
- Excellent line management skills, and ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in the understanding and management of contracts.
- Knowledge of wind turbine technology and operations.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems as well as analysis of technical data.
- Naturally well prepared and organised, able to deal with competing priorities, manage a diverse workload and meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate at various levels.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Due to the nature of the role, there is a requirement for a valid driving license.
- Knowledge of HV systems, UK Grid Requirements, programming for the analysis of technical data desirable.
- Understanding of UK HSQE legislation and valid IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and Project Management qualification desirable.
- Willing to travel anywhere in UK.
