We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established estate agency in Swansea for a Sales Valuer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on winning new business, managing client relationships, and driving listings from initial valuation through to instruction. You will play a vital role within the team, managing valuation leads, attending property appraisals, and securing new instructions at agreed fee levels. You'll also oversee negotiators, manage vendor care meetings, and ensure smooth handovers post-instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage valuation leads and book appointments
- Attend property valuations and provide accurate, evidence-based pricing advice
- Win new instructions at agreed fee levels
- Upsell additional services such as MAB, conveyancing, and marketing packages
- Generate valuation opportunities through follow-up, referrals, and proactive activity
- Achieve set targets for property listings, demonstrating strong conversion rates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Manage the onboarding of new properties, including signing paperwork and arranging marketing
- Clearly explain the sales process and manage vendor expectations
- Maintain accurate records of valuations, instructions, and outcomes
- Carry out viewings when needed
- Monitor and manage pipeline performance
- Work closely with negotiators to ensure smooth handovers post-instruction
- Stay up to date with local market conditions, pricing, and competitor activity
- Hold weekly vendor care meetings with negotiators and provide feedback when necessary
- Provide accurate KPI reports outlining activity and performance when required
- Provide senior oversight for negotiators, offering training and expertise when needed
- Manage negotiators' diaries
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with legislation, compliance, and company standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Estate agency experience essential – Sales Valuer experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients
- Experience delivering high levels of customer service and a willingness to go above and beyond for clients
- A polite and professional approach
- Strong organisational skills – you will be managing multiple listings and client relationships simultaneously
- Administrative proficiency – you will be handling documentation and maintaining accurate records
- A keen interest in the property market and dealing with people
- A proactive approach with a desire to learn and engage
- A clean and valid driving licence
- Local knowledge of Swansea and the surrounding areas is beneficial
Package & Benefits
- Basic salary from £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Uncapped OTE with a minimum of £5,000 per annum, increased for over-performance
- Laptop and mobile phone provided
- Use of a pool car
- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm & alternative Saturdays 9am-1:30pm (time off in lieu)
