Position Summary
- Planning, leading and supervising interesting and fun daytime and evening activities for our students.
- Taking groups of students on cultural and educational visits and excursions.
- Helping us to provide a mix of fun and educational offerings on our programmes, including discos, quiz nights, talent shows and sports.
- Providing information to the students at points of interest, giving learning opportunities during excursions and visits to places of interest.
- Ensuring the welfare and safety of the group.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Attending training prior to employment (paid).
- Leading groups of students (adult and junior) on activities, excursions, and visits to museums/attractions.
- Delivering relevant and interesting information during these activities and excursions.
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of students during activities and excursions.
- Meeting groups on arrival at airports.
- Familiarising yourself with the campus, attractions and amenities in the local area.
- Liaising with the team of Bayswater staff and Group Leaders at the centre and developing a friendly and co-operative atmosphere.
- Organising, leading and participating fully in activities and excursions.
- Ensuring you have all the necessary information to lead activities/excursions and give informative talks when walking around the locations.
- Ensuring that the company’s health and safety guidelines are followed, both on campus and when students are off-site on excursion.
- Assisting with student arrivals, conducting campus tours, and helping with student departures and room checks as required.
- Assisting with student supervision, mealtime supervision and curfew duties as per the rota, which may involve evening work.
- Assisting the centre managers with administrative tasks.
- Acting in a professional manner with all Bayswater agents, clients, and staff and not engaging in any activity which may bring Bayswater into disrepute.
- Wearing the Bayswater uniform provided (when on duty).
- Reading and being fully conversant with the Staff Handbook.

- Eligibility to live and work in the UK at the time of contract commencing.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
Salary and Benefits
- Contract Type: Flexible.
- £13.00- £13.33 per hour depending on experience.
- Statutory holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.
- A strong commitment to providing in-service support, training and professional development sessions.
- A bus pass or travel card will be provided for trips and excursions; however, Bayswater does not reimburse staff for travel expenses to their place of work.
Knowledge, Qualifications, And Experience (Desirable)
- Experience of working with groups of international students taking part in educational and/or activity programmes.
- Experience working on a Summer camp.
- Solid knowledge of safeguarding.
- Experience of safeguarding of children/young people.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- An appropriate qualification (e.g., Playwork, Childcare or Sports Leadership).
