The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business, Strategy, or Innovation Educator / Industry Professional to teach our Introduction to Business Strategy, Innovation, and Sustainability course for learners aged 16+. This is a beginner‑friendly, project‑based course designed for students with no prior business studies experience. The programme introduces learners to how organisations make strategic decisions, respond to competition, innovate in changing markets, and balance commercial success with ethical and sustainable responsibilities. During this 30‑hour programme learners explore real companies, analyse contemporary business challenges, and work in teams to develop and present a Business Model Canvas for a new venture. The course is designed to build confidence with business language, strategic thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills from the ground up. The programme will be running from 29th June - 7th August. Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 1pm-5.30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, adapt, and deliver engaging lesson materials in line with the prepared course specification
  • Facilitate highly interactive workshops using case studies, discussion, and team‑based problem‑solving
  • Support learners in collaborative project work leading to a final group presentation
  • Help students develop confidence in business communication, strategic thinking, and evidence‑based argument
  • Provide formative feedback on teamwork, project development, and presentation skills
  • Differentiation of delivery for learners with varied academic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds
  • Maintain accurate records of session delivery and student engagement
  • Liaise with fellow lecturers and programme management regarding student progress and support needs
  • Keep up to date with developments in business strategy, innovation, sustainability, and pedagogy
