The Activity Leader plays a key role in delivering a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for international students at our Leeds centre. Reporting to the Centre Director, the role involves planning and leading a varied programme of social, cultural, and educational activities and excursions, while ensuring student welfare and safeguarding at all times in line with Bayswater policies and procedures. The Activity Leader also supports the wider Student Services team, assists with student inductions and city tours, and helps create engaging social media content through photos and videos showcasing student life. This is a fixed term role with flexible working hours - they will likely work between 15-20 hours a week, for 4 weeks from July with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lead, and supervise groups of students on activities, excursions, and visits to museums and attractions
  • Support the delivery of a varied programme of engaging social, cultural, and educational activities
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students at all times in accordance with Bayswater’s Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Support student arrivals, inductions, school tours, and airport transfers
  • Create a fun, welcoming, and enriching student experience throughout their stay in the UK
  • Capture and edit photos/videos for social media content, including Instagram posts and reels
  • Work collaboratively with Bayswater staff and Group Leaders to support the overall student experience
  • Assist the Student Services Team with administrative and operational tasks as required
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional point of contact for students, agents, and visitors
  • Respond to student enquiries and provide local information and support throughout the day
  • Follow internal processes and procedures, resolving issues efficiently and effectively
  • Support new students on their first day, including inductions and school and city tours
Requirements:
  • Experience working with groups of international students on educational and/or activity programmes
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Experience safeguarding children and/or young people
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
