Contract: Fixed-term contract
Delivery: Online via Microsoft Teams
Teaching Schedule: Teaching 10 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 11.10 BST (10 min break) plus marking and tutorials.
This pre-sessional EAP programme prepares international arts students to meet the English language entry requirements of Music and Arts universities in the North of England. You will plan and deliver structured, engaging EAP lessons online, teach across all four skills, assess student work against SELT-aligned scoring at B2–C1, and provide constructive feedback within agreed turnaround times.
- A master’s degree in EAP, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a closely related field
- A recognised ELT teaching qualification
- At least two years’ experience delivering EAP for a UK university
- Direct experience teaching Chinese L1 learners desirable
- A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused approach
- Someone who is confident teaching in a synchronous online environment, takes the admin side of the role as seriously as the teaching, and genuinely believes in giving every student
