Carecor is looking for a skilled and compassionate Vascular Technologist to join our team in Kingston, Ontario. In this role, you will perform high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies, including peripheral artery and carotid artery Doppler examinations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and deliver optimal patient care.

Summary of Position

The Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies, including peripheral artery Doppler and carotid artery Doppler examinations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, technical skill, and the ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients. The technologist works closely with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care.

Work Schedule

Part-time position: 14–24 hours per week to start, with potential to increase as patient volume and clientele build. Primarily daytime hours, with occasional evenings a possibility based on patient needs and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform peripheral arterial and carotid Doppler ultrasound studies
  • Capture high-quality images and data per lab protocols
  • Document findings accurately and submit for physician review
  • Confirm patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure comfort
  • Provide safe, dignified, and confidential care
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Keep exam rooms clean and organized
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Assist with scheduling and prioritizing urgent studies
  • Support quality assurance and accreditation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology program
  • Preferred credentials: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI)
  • CPR/BLS certification and CMRITO registration
  • Experience with peripheral arterial and carotid Doppler studies (new grads with strong clinical rotations considered)
  • Proficient in non-invasive vascular testing and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
