Working as part of our People Team, you’ll provide high-quality HR and recruitment administration across the business, helping us deliver a positive experience for candidates, colleagues and managers.
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across our Retail and Bakery Operations as well as the wider People Team, supporting recruitment activity and the day-to-day administration that keeps our people processes running smoothly.
No two days will be exactly the same.
You could be coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates one moment, updating employee records or preparing HR documentation the next.
You’ll play an important part in helping us recruit great people, provide an excellent candidate and colleague experience and ensure our processes remain accurate, efficient and fit for a growing business.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting recruitment activity from vacancy and candidate administration through to onboarding.
- Acting as a professional and welcoming point of contact for candidates and hiring managers.
- Coordinating interviews and maintaining accurate recruitment schedules and records.
- Supporting managers and key stakeholders across the business with recruitment and HR administration.
- Maintaining accurate colleague information within our HR systems, including new starters, leavers and contractual changes.
- Preparing HR letters, documents and information accurately and on time.
- Monitoring and recording absence and other employee information.
- Supporting the administration of welfare meetings, exit interviews and formal People processes.
- Managing HR and recruitment inboxes, responding to enquiries and prioritising activity effectively.
- Producing reports and helping identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintaining confidential employee and candidate records securely and in line with data protection requirements.
- Working closely with colleagues across the People Team to improve processes and support people-focused projects.

Accuracy and attention to detail will matter, but just as importantly, you’ll enjoy communicating with people and building trusted relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the business.
You’ll ideally bring
- Strong administration experience, preferably within HR, recruitment or another busy people-focused environment.
- Experience of working with and supporting key stakeholders across a business.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning or working with HR and recruitment systems.
- The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain strict confidentiality.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
- A genuine passion for people and providing a great colleague and candidate experience.
Experience supporting recruitment processes or using HR/recruitment databases would be an advantage, as would a CIPD Level 3 qualification or an interest in developing your HR career.
