We are looking for an experienced manager with a background in retail or customer‑facing roles to join our family bakery chain.

Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible); schedule varies weekly, including weekends. Working shifts between 4:30 am and 4:30 pm, any 5 days from 7 days.

Salary: £33,624 per annum plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain high standards of behaviour and customer/colleague interactions.
  • Schedule colleagues for efficient shop trading.
  • Conduct new‑employee reviews during 12‑week probation period and subsequent reviews.
  • Ensure staff understand and deliver on legal responsibilities.
  • Take responsibility for health & safety of colleagues per company policy and legislation.
  • Maintain excellence in shop property, equipment, fixtures, and fittings; report issues or defects.
  • Ensure compliance with company cash and security regulations.
  • Follow all legal requirements.
  • Display only quality product.
  • Maintain stock rotation procedures.
  • Update Area Manager promptly on business developments.
  • Encourage colleagues to share ideas to improve the business.
  • Manage colleagues in a fast‑paced, customer‑service environment.
  • Remain “hands‑on” serving, bake‑off, making filled rolls, hot drinks, etc.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous retail experience in a supervisory role, especially in the food‑to‑go industry.
  • Confident and enthusiastic.
  • Experience delivering on KPIs and profitability.
  • Experience managing stock.
  • Flexibility to work between 4:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Sunday any 5 days from 7.
