We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and technically-minded NPD Bakery Technologist to join our growing New Product Development team at our bakery in Lochore. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves food, understands bakery manufacturing, and enjoys bringing new ideas from concept through to successful launch.
The Role
As NPD Bakery Technologist, you will play a key role in developing and improving products across our diverse bakery portfolio, including cakes, pastry, bread and rolls, biscuits and savoury bakery items. You will work closely with operational, technical and process teams to create products that delight customers while meeting quality, cost and manufacturing requirements. You will also have the opportunity to explore emerging categories and trends, including health-focused products and beverages.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and refine recipes from concept through to full-scale production.
- Deliver new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) projects across multiple categories.
- Conduct kitchen-based product development, trials and evaluations.
- Assess product quality, shelf life, ingredient functionality and manufacturing suitability.
- Maintain accurate recipes, records and project documentation throughout the development process.
