An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Interim Financial Analyst / Project Accountant to join a major transformation programme within a fast-paced organisation. This 18-month contract is available on a 3-day-a-week (part-time) basis and would suit a junior analyst or an assistant accountant who is used to dealing with high volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of project-related timesheets and resource allocations
  • Analyse project costs and cost base allocations to identify variances and help prevent overspend
  • Work closely with the transformation team to track and capture all budget data
  • Monitor spend against budget, highlighting risks and opportunities in a timely manner
  • Maintain and manage large volumes of financial and operational data with accuracy
  • Use Excel extensively for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting

About You:

  • Early-stage or part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) with a background in finance or entry-level analysis
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, methodical approach
  • Enthusiastic about moving into a more analytical role within a project environment
  • Good communication skills and comfortable liaising with finance and non-finance stakeholders
